STRAIGHT STAIRLIFTS
This stairlift can be used on a straight staircase where the stairlift is not required to travel around a corner. The stairlift runs on a slimline track which hugs the edge of the staircase. The track is fixed to the stairs and it leaves plenty of room on the staircase for other users. The track comes with two charging points, top and bottom, when not in use the stairlift should be left on one of these points. These points are generally located where the stairlift stops. If circumstances require an alternative parking position, if a hinge track is used for example, the park position is easily located by using the park button on the remote control. Parking on the charge point keeps the battery topped up so your stairlift will continue to work in the event of a power failure.
Slimline design is a concept that extends to the Stairlift itself, the stairlift can be folded up meaning minimum storage space is needed when the stairlift is not in use. The addition of a powered footplate makes folding the unit up even easier for users who may have trouble bending. When it comes to using the straight stairlift it's very straight forward. The stairlift is protected by a key switch, once switched on the toggle control is simple held in the direction of travel.
On arrival at the top of the stairs the seat is turned to face the landing so that you can get on and off your stairlift with ease. If preferred you have the option to add a powered swivel to make turning the seat even easier.
The stairlift is available in two types of seat and a choice of colours. The operating control can be placed on either arm. In the event that your staircase has a 90° corner landing at the top with a couple of steps to the final landing it may be possible to fit a platform system. These systems work in conjunction with the stairlift: once the stairlift has reached the end of its travel the platform is lowered and forms a bridge between the stairlift and the landing. This means that the user can dismount the stairlift and walk directly onto the landing.

Stairlift Service & Maintenance

The 365 Service & Maintenance Plan
Stairlift Features

Powered Hinge Track -
To avoid the stairlifts track permanently blocking doorways, or creating a trip hazard, the track can be folded away at the click of a button on the handset.

Track Extensions -
Space permitting, the curved stair rail track can be extended, which is particularly popular with clients who wish to dismount from their stairlifts directly onto the landing.

Remote Control -
The stairlifts can be 'parked' out of sight at the top or bottom of the stairs and simply called back to your feet when needed via the infrared remote control. This is also ideal when more than one person in the house uses the stairlift. If necessary, somebody else can even operate the stairlifts for you whilst you travel in safety.

Left or Right Handed Controls -
Controls can be accommodated on either the left or right armrest to reflect a right or left handed user preference.

Upholstery Colour Choice -
As well as supporting your lower back, the seat comes in a choice of 6 colours, to complement any décor. Should you choose to redecorate your hallway, you can even have your seat re-upholstered to suit.

Swivel Seat Option for Easier Dismounting -
The seat can be swiveled round to allow you to step comfortably onto the landing. As an optional extra we can also offer a powered swivel seat.

Adjustable Seat

Automatic Cut-Out Safety Sensors -
Should the stairlifts detect an object in the path of one or more of its 10 sensors, it will automatically come to a smooth halt.

Easy to Use -
Unique ergonomic controls were designed with input from Occupational Therapists to make sure it is one of the easiest stairlifts to use - even for arthritis sufferers or the visually impaired. A comfortable large easy grip 'paddle switch' requires minimal pressure, simply push in the direction of travel to move off.
CURVED STAIRLIFTS
These stairlifts are designed for use on a staircase which turns a corner or is spiral in design. The track is mounted on stanchions which are fixed to the stairs. Every stairlift track is built to order following a survey of the staircase. Our team of designers calculate the optimum track to accommodate the staircase whilst maximising the clear space on the stairs.
The track can be placed on either side of the staircase. Our system offers the tightest internal bend on the market which means that in many cases this system will fit into hallways that other stairlifts cannot accomodate.
Generally the track will have two charging points, top and bottom, however some tracks may require intermediate charge points too. When the stairlift is not being used it should be left on one of these points. These points are generally located at the position where the stairlift stops. If circumstances dictate an alternative parking point, if a hinge track is used for example, the park position is easily located by using the park button on the remote control. Parking on the charge point keeps the battery topped up so your stairlift will continue to work in the event of a power failure.

The addition of a powered footplate makes folding the unit up even easier for users who may have trouble bending. You can choose to fold the footplate by flicking a switch located under the arm of the stairlift or when folding the seat up and down.
