| hi all found this site the other week and only had time to post today. i need some help with my batricar alpha with out it costing at a repair center if possible the problem is it has stopped moving forward or backwards, all the lights and horne and window wipers work, i brought a new plunger throttle but no affect so any help be gratefully recieved |

Hi can you help me,
My Father is very much dependant uon his Rascal, he is totaly housbound without it and uses it every day to walk his dog. Yesterday whils out he was caught in a severe downppour, it may have been a coincidence but his rascal stopped about 1/2 hour later. I have looked at the machine using the manual, in an attept to fault find. The syptoms are, batteries charged, ingition turns on lights and horn work but drive not functioning. When the ignition is turned on a buzzing noise which I believe is from the brake/ free wheel lever at the back of the scooter , if engaged into drive the buzzing continues. I thought it may be the circuit braker fuse need...

I have a curved Bison lift for sale, it is un-installed the lift is in sections that bolt together. Was bought new around £4000 and used i would say twice. It will however require new batteries that provide a back up in the event of a power failure. The solid sections mount on adjustable posts to suite the incline required. It was mounted on a set of stairs on the right hand side that went up two steps to a small landing area and then cuved left and up to the top of the stairs 11 steps in total.

| We have for sale a stairlift made by Churchill's Stairlifts. The stairlift is a straight-up right-hand side invincible stairlift that was fully serviced whilst it was installed and was only used from its installation in Aug 2006 to Nov 2007 after which it was uninstalled. Thanks for this. I've given the microswitch a good spray, though i guess I will just have to take it off and test it properly tomorrow. The lever itself for the brake / freewheel facility moves freely and does it's primary job fine.
Do you think that it's possible that the buzzer is overriding the lighting functions - or is it more probable that this is a seperate issue?
Any idea where I could get a manual for this model?

wow a real antique jem by the sounds of things..Hmm an alarm on a scooter very rare, this is probably a buzzing noise which would be the brake/ free wheel lever at the back of the scooter , if buzzing its indicating its in freewheel, but if engaged into drive and still buzzing then its the brake lever its self, it might be worth getting some electrical spray and spraying it around the lever its self as where it has been standing for so long it may need that nudge to release, and then work the lever up and down.
As to spare parts the only thing i can think of is looking on ebay where you might find one for spares or repairs or one still running...

Hello all, this is my first post on here!
I've just picked up a 2001 Sunrise Sterling Swift mobility scooter. It's previous owner used it regularly, doing about 10 miles on each trip.......they then moved house and there were too many fast roads to use it safely, so it was left at the back of the garage (for 2 years). 
I have picked it up (looks excellent cond), obviously the batteries were no good, so have bought two new ones today. 
The problem is; whilst it drives lovely, both forward and reverse....the anti-theft alarm goes off all the time (I understand is usually deactivated by the motor engagement lever?), and the lights and horn simply don't work.  Are these likely ...

| Hi can you help me please, I have just been given a Rascal 388D working fine and has had reg servicing I am told first day out I hit a hole withe the rear offside wheel, now it seems that there is a problem feels as though the wheel is buckled can you advise please, don't want to use it until i am certain I don't do anymore damage so housebound at the moment apart from my car, many thanks |

Hi,
My invalid wife has been given an Electromotion Super Glide scooter that was originally purchased in 2002 and then stored for five years. The batteries require changing of course but with some temp ones installed the internal mains charger does not appear to power up. wow, i can't believe that it's over two years since i took delivery of my memory pillow!
this pillow is simply amazing and is still in the same form as when i originally bought it two years ago!
there has been NO degradation whatsoever! 
its now 8 years since my industrial accident and i'm still suffering as a result of the injury i received
in bulgaria i take natural alternative therapies to help my pain in my neck
and at night i for sure get a better nights sleep because of this pillow
i dont use the pillow to do my work any more, but i would love to have the same memory foam to make a little 'sausage' type version for only behind my neck!

i find this interesting as a new owner of a mobility scooter that does 8 mph and is taxed and ins i have got myself a open faced skid lid ,not only is it safety thing but its cool looking and smart
may i say to all scooter road users buy some kind of crash hat ,you only have one head keep it safe  |

My mum has had this really nice chair for about 2 1/2 years. It is in excellent condition and is covered in brown draylon. She never eused the electric feature so this is as new. We do need it moved as soon as possilbe hence the price of £75.00
