Mobility Scooter Servicing and Repairing
You are recommended to have your Scooter serviced at least once a year. This will ensure your Scooter is operating at its full potential and also if you have a warranty in place it will highlight any parts that may be faulty and therefore may not be covered under your warranty hence saving you a callout fee. We carry most parts for the following Makes of Scooters
Pride Sunrise Shoprider (RMA) Drive Medical TGA Days (DMA) Freerider Invacare
The service involves an inspection of all the safety features and operational features. The service includes any a general maintenance of all operational components, but excludes parts that need to be replaced. You will be quoted a price before any work commences if required
Please call to arrange your scooter service or repaired on 0845 602 5547

Hello....... its nice information. Thank you for sharing your information...... need much-much louder horn.....I have a Go-Go Elite Traveler Plus and got tired approaching older people walking and they NOT hearing the pissy & weak horn provided by the manufacture. I had to rectify this solution ASAP. The following items were purchased: #1 24v horn, low-tone, Hella Disk type, $11.62, from: http://www.rallylights.net/hella/horns.asp#2 Horn Button, Cal Term 40193 Horn Button W/Brack Chrome ASIN: B000BO4RM2 $4.00 http://amazon.comor #2 Pico 5505A 5 Amp horn button (watch, 25 min order in some places), around $6.00 #3 3-ft 3cond (XLR) microphone ext cord at Radio Shack (Internet only) Modify female end of ext cord to tap into the 24v supply for powering the horn. You will need to construct a narrow spacer to mount button on handle bars. You can easily plug-in the ext cord and still have a female connector for the charger. Happy Honking |

Hi got a monico shoprider scooter second hand and the battery even when on charge for 12 hours does not take a full charge not sure how old the batteries are. Second how much would two batteries cost and how much to have them delivered and installed. And how much to also have someone come and make sure everything else is in working order |

Hi shaz, Please advise the size of your batterys, they will say on them. Now we can just send them out and you fit them or we do a service for £125.00 and we shall put them on. If not just let us know what the amps are on the batterys and we can send them out and you fit them

Hi Rita, We actually do sell insurance from £65 per year and this actually covers you for breakdowns etc, but the standard policy only covers you for mechanical or electrical breakdowns, to get cover for puntcures you will need the comprehensive cover which starts from £90 per year. Please call our office for more information and we can also cover you from today regards Ukmobility4u - 0845 602 5547 |

Would be interested to know from other mobility scooter users whether they have repeat problems with soft tyres/punctures when using a "deluxe" class 2 scooter out of doors in a standard urban setting (or has my relative just been unlucky so far!)
Also, has anyone felt it necessary to swap to solid "puncture proof" tyres rather than standard "pneumatic" ones to get around these sort of problems once and for all?

Hi,
My invalid wife has been given an Electromotion Super Glide scooter that was originally purchased in 2002 and then stored for five years. The batteries require changing of course but with some temp ones installed the internal mains charger does not appear to power up. Could you give me a quote for new batteries please and can I obtain a circuit diagram of the charger ?. Thank you .... John Kent (Andover UK) |

Hello all, this is my first post on here! I've just picked up a 2001 Sunrise Sterling Swift mobility scooter. It's previous owner used it regularly, doing about 10 miles on each trip.......they then moved house and there were too many fast roads to use it safely, so it was left at the back of the garage (for 2 years). I have picked it up (looks excellent cond), obviously the batteries were no good, so have bought two new ones today. The problem is; whilst it drives lovely, both forward and reverse....the anti-theft alarm goes off all the time (I understand is usually deactivated by the motor engagement lever?), and the lights and horn simply don't work. Are these likely to be connected, and where should I look first? All the looms look to be properly connected. Many thanks in advance. Nidge |

wow a real antique jem by the sounds of things..Hmm an alarm on a scooter very rare, this is probably a buzzing noise which would be the brake/ free wheel lever at the back of the scooter , if buzzing its indicating its in freewheel, but if engaged into drive and still buzzing then its the brake lever its self, it might be worth getting some electrical spray and spraying it around the lever its self as where it has been standing for so long it may need that nudge to release, and then work the lever up and down.
As to spare parts the only thing i can think of is looking on ebay where you might find one for spares or repairs or one still running...
