can you fit a stairlift to outside stone steps?

there is a request here from a family in Bulgaria and I do not know if either stairlifts can be 'posted' to Bulgaria or even fitted to concrete steps that are outside with only a small roof covering as protection from the rain

i read your page here http://ukmobility4u.co.uk/stairlifts.html but am not technically minded and just wish to help this family with their elderly relative

there are stairlifts specifications on that page http://ukmobility4u.co.uk/stairlifts.html you can get directly to the specifications here http://ukmobility4u.co.uk/stairlifts.html#stairliftsspecifications

i'm unsure if an outside stairlift would be suitable in the heavy winter snows in Bulgaria! perhaps if they could somehow enclose the stone steps so the stairlift was more protected, also the elderly relative may not wish to go slowly upstairs in the winter, or perhaps the stairlift can be somehow dismantled for wintertime?

Hi
Yes we do what we call an outside stairlift ie so it caters for fire escapes, drop down gardens with pavements and all round outside use., which everybody must use in case of a fire etc etc and it is also water proof too which is an added bonus. what i can do with is if you can email me a picture of where the stairlift is needed then i can give you a better idea on whats required etc. you can email me directly to
info@ukmobility4u.co.uk

many thanks for your kind enquiry

Thanks, I have now sent you the photo of their house plus the wheelchair in use. Would it be viable to buy through you and have it brought over with my friends who are arriving later in the year?

Or is it impossible to fit stairlifts without proper training?
